Mostyn Hall will soon re-open to the general public to allow access to view the fine collection of mainly family portraits and other pictures and furniture, by way of a guided tour.
The family acquired the land upon which Mostyn Hall stands around 500 years ago. The Hall was the seat of the Baronets of Mostyn from 1660, and the seat of the Barons of Mostyn since 1831.
The 1st Baron Mostyn commissioned Ambrose Poynter in the mid-19th century to remodel Mostyn Hall in Jacobean Style we see today.
