North Wales Choral Festival attracted 43 choirs to Llandudno, with the 2013 event continuing the success from previous years. Different elements of the festival encourage the choirs to make a weekend of the festival and stay for the duration. The Friday evening concert, Festival Celebration Concert and the Community Performances all contribute to this aim. Also the Schools Day element was introduced this year and had 11 school choirs travel to Venue Cymru to take part in the workshop and compete.
The festival has been reported to have contributed to an out of season boost with an economic impact of £250,000-£300,000. Choirs ranging from 10 to 80 members filled restaurants and public houses across Llandudno. We saw choirs return due to their overall experience of the festival from previous years and the future looks bright with applications already being taken for 2014.
